raccoons, iguanas, and monkeys, oh my!!!

Despite being ridiculously touristy, Manuel Antonio rocked. It was beautiful, hot, sandy, and there were lots of cool people (and animals!) to meet. We spent a day at the park hiking and beach hopping, and the next day surfing and boogie boarding at the public beach.

Top 10 highlights of the beach trip:
1. Playing tug o war with the raccoons on the beach that were trying to drag our belongings out from under our noses.
2. Surfing at sunset...and actually catching a wave.
3. Seeing my first deer on a beach. Although I think it was highly confused which was quite sad.
4. Watching an iguana chase some beach goers out of three different plots of sand and yawn while doing it.
5. Asking questions in Spanish and being answered in English. Oh wait... that was annoying. Am I that obvious?
6. Monkeys!!!! on the beach, in the trees, everywhere! I want one :) They are adorable.
7. Spreading the skills of beer pong to people from around the world at our hostel with a kick ass view of the ocean.
8. Snow cones and coconut milk on the beach for less than 1$.
9. Talking like pirates for an entire game of Kings
10. Experiencing all this while getting 2 grad degrees at the same time.
